Some of the children had memorized the following prayers that I wanted to share:
It is a response type prayer. The adult says italicized and child completes the prayer.
Children obey your parent in the Lord for this is right
Children obey your parent in all thing for this is well, pleasing to the Lord
The Angel of the Lord comes around these who fear him and deliver them
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
With God all things are possible
Blessing a meal:
Heavenly Father, bless this food and sanctify it. In Jesus name Amen
I was also told many of the children know the following verses and may have them memorized:

ReplyDeleteWhen we adopted our son, Francis, from Eban House in January 2008, there were only a handfull of kids there, but this is the prayer they would say before each meal, and the one we still recite in our family a year and a half later before our meals!
